The total quota for salmon is now publicized

The Fisheries Agency has notified SVS that the quota for salmon in 2026 is 130.

This is a decrease compared to 2025

It is divided into 3 portions. 5 salmon may be taken home in the Other Area, which is the Storå system east of the Ring Road at Holstebro and all the tributaries to the west, such as Råsted Lilleå, Vegen å, etc.

125 salmon may be taken home in the Primary area, which is the main run of Storå west of the powerplant dam in Holstebro.

Of this, 85 salmon must be 73 cm or less and 40 salmon over 73 cm.

Again in 2026, "the big salmon" will be divided into 2 portions, so that 20 salmon will be released on April 16th, and a further 20 salmon will be released on June 16th.

SVS must now distribute the quotas to the memers of the Association at Storå.

When that has happened, the HOF's fishing regulations for 2024 will be adjusted accordingly. You may only take salmon home from 16 April.
